ShareTheNet is a single-disk Linux distribution specifically for use to turn a machine into a gateway/router machine. It comes in 2 versions; one for commercial use ($70, with a 30-minute time limit if you don't register) and one for those with a Linux box and who are comfortable with "rolling their own" (which is free). It sports fast configuration, security, and speed.
