Red Hat Linux, produced by Red Hat Software, Inc., is a full-scale Linux distribution for Intel x86, DEC/Compaq Alpha, and SPARC-based machines. It comes with tech support, and 400+ pages of documentation (in the official version from Red Hat Software). Its installation program is designed to be easy for newbies to use. It offers a full compliment of software, including KDE, kernels from the 2.2.x tree, The GIMP, and GUI system administration tools.
Red Hat Linux 6.0 is currently one of the most popular Linux distributions availible (according to http://www.counter.li.org/reports/machines.html).
