MkLinux is a port of Linux to PowerMacintosh machines started by the OSF Research Institute and Apple Computer. It runs Linux on top of OSF Research Institute's Mach microkernel. This allows it to include support for older, NuBus-based PowerMacs that won't run LinuxPPC (including the PowerMac 6100s, and the 8100s, and such).
